Seeing Yudhiṣṭhira from afar, the Dhārtarāṣṭra soldiers spoke among themselves: “There is no lord here—he is a disgrace to the lineage.”

english translation

Clearly, that king—Yudhiṣṭhira, together with his brothers—approaches Bhīṣma as if afraid, like a petitioner seeking refuge and protection.

english translation

With Dhanaṃjaya as his protector, and with Vṛkodara, Nakula, and Sahadeva present, how can this Pāṇḍava be approaching in fear?

english translation

Surely he was not born in a renowned kṣatriya lineage on this earth, since in the engagement his heart appears fearful—like that of one of little resolve.

english translation

Then all those kṣatriyas praised the Kauravas; becoming pleased and confident, they waved their garments separately in demonstrative approval.
