हृषीकेशं तदा वाक्यमिदमाह महीपते । सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये रथं स्थापय मेऽच्युत॥६-२३-२१॥
Then he spoke these words to Hṛṣīkeśa, O king: “O Acyuta, place my chariot between the two armies.”
english translation
यावदेतान्निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान् । कैर्मया सह योद्धव्यमस्मिन्रणसमुद्यमे॥६-२३-२२॥
So that I may behold those standing here, eager for battle, and discern with whom I must contend in this impending undertaking of war.
english translation
योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागताः । धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षवः॥६-२३-२३॥
I wish to observe those assembled here, ready to fight, who in this conflict seek to do what is pleasing to the ill-judging Dhārtarāṣṭra.

एवमुक्तो हृषीकेशो गुडाकेशेन भारत । सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये स्थापयित्वा रथोत्तमम्॥६-२३-२४॥
Thus addressed by Guḍākeśa, O Bhārata, Hṛṣīkeśa positioned the excellent chariot between the two armies.

भीष्मद्रोणप्रमुखतः सर्वेषां च महीक्षिताम् । उवाच पार्थ पश्यैतान्समवेतान्कुरूनिति॥६-२३-२५॥
In front of Bhīṣma and Droṇa, and before all the kings, he said: “Pārtha, behold these Kurus assembled here.”
