We shall all take refuge in him as in a fortification free from fear—Bhīma, foremost among those who strike—just as the immortals rely on Indra, wielder of the thunderbolt.

english translation

There is no man in the world who could endure even to look upon Vṛkodara when he is enraged—upon that bull among men, whose deeds are formidable.

english translation

Bhīmasena, bearing a firm mace hard as thunderbolt-substance, could—moving with tremendous speed—dry up even the ocean (a hyperbolic image of force).

english translation

The Kekayas, Dhṛṣṭaketu, and the valorous Cekitāna—these stand there with their ministers as your allied supporters and observers, O king.

english translation

“They are the heirs of Dhṛtarāṣṭra,” said Bībhatsu (Arjuna). As Pārtha spoke thus, O venerable one, all the forces honored him in that campaign with supportive, battle-favoring words.
