hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाकपतौ लग्नस्थे स्वोच्चे स्वर्क्षे त्रिभागदशमे स्वे। तस्य दशा पुष्टफला तेषु नवांशस्थितेषु मध्यफला॥१२॥
When the lord of the Dasa occupies the Lagna, is in his exaltation, in his own Rasi or in his own decanate, his Dasa will prove fully benefic in effect. If he should occupy only the Navamsas of the abovementioned places, the effect will only be mixed.

If at the commencement of a Dasa the Moon should occupy Kataka, the native concerned will do some harm to a woman, and will be a killer of cattle; if he should occupy a sign of Mars, he will kill the owner of the house he is living in.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptविद्याशास्त्रज्ञानं मित्रप्राप्तिं करोति बुधराशौ। सुखगृहमानावाप्तिं जीवगृहे दिशति शीतकरः॥१४॥
Acquisition of learning, proficiency in Sastras, getting new friends, all these will be had when the Moon is in Mercury's Rasi. When the Moon is in Jupiter's Rasi, the native will have happiness, acquire a dwelling, and and receive veneration.

If the Moon at the time aforesaid occupy a sign owned by Venus, the person concerned will have food and drink in plenty, and enjoy complete happiness; there is also a possibility of danger to his life. If, at the time, the Moon should occupy a house of Saturn, he will have immense satisfaction with his wedded wife. He will be engaged in doing mean acts.
