अङ्गनाजन्मपीडर्क्षं याते ताराधिपे तथा। रक्तेक्षिते युते वा स्यादार्तवं गर्भकारणम्॥१॥
When the Moon in her transit is posited in an Apachaya house in a woman's nativity and is aspected by or conjoined with Mars, menses will set in which will (be the cause of) lead to her pregnancy (conception).

बालवृद्धातुरावन्ध्या मुक्त्वा चान्यासु लक्षणम्। त्रयोदशनिशाः स्नानादृतुकालं प्रचक्षते॥२॥
Barring children, old, sickly and barren women, the Ritu Kala (period of conception) in the case of other women is declared to be 13 nights after bathing (on the 4th day).

स्त्रीणामुपचयस्येन्दौ शुभपुंग्रहवीक्षिते। शुभोदये युग्मरात्रौ निषिञ्चेत्पुत्रधारणम्॥३॥
When the Moon occupying an Upachaya house with respect to a woman's nativity is aspected by the male benefic planet, or rises with it, sexual union should take place on a night of even number (or the seed must be sown) for bearing a son.

रवीन्दुशुक्रजीवैर्वा स्वर्क्षे वा स्वांशकोदये। भौमदृष्टे युते वाऽपि पुंयोगाः स्युरिमे स्मृताः॥४॥
The following are the yogas leading to the sexual union to be effective (for the birth of a son):—(1) The Sun, the Moon, Venus and Jupiter being posited in their own houses ; (2) in their own Navamsas; or (3) in the Ascendant and being aspected by or conjoined with Mars.

लग्नस्थो वा सुतस्थो वा धर्मस्थो वा बली गुरुः। प्रोत्तर्क्षे शुभवारे स्याद्धारयेद्गर्भमुत्तमम्॥५॥
Jupiter strong and posited in the Ascendant, the 5th or the 9th house, or in any of the houses mentioned in the previous verse (or in a good asterism) and on an auspicious week day, leads to the conception of a male child in the womb.
