सूर्योदये न शान्तो नातिसुतो निर्घृणो रणश्लाघी। विकलेक्षणोऽल्पभाषी प्रवासशीलो भवेत्सुखी जातः॥१॥
A person born at Sun-rise will not rest quiet. He will not have many issue. He will have no pity ; he will be fond of war; will have a defective eye, sight ; will talk little ; and always be absent from home.
english translation
मेषोदयेऽतिकीर्त्तिर्बलवांस्तिमिरेक्षणो धनी विद्वान्। नीचे प्रतापहीनो निःखप्रायोऽतिनचिकरः॥२॥
The person born when sign Mesha is rising, will become very famous, energetic, of defective sight, rich, and learned. When the Sun is in his depression, he will be devoid of valour, will for the most part be poor and will be engaged in doing very mean acts.

सिंहे स्ववंशनाथः कुलीरभे ज्ञानवाननेकमतिः। मीने स्त्रीजनसेवी कन्याया दारभाक् कृतघ्नश्च॥३॥
When the Sun occupies Simha, the person born will be the head of his family. One born in sign Karkataka will be intelligent and have fixity of mind. When in Meena, he will be serving a woman. When the Sun occupies sign Kanya, the person will be devoted to his wife, and he will be ungrateful.

धनभे तु वक्त्ररोगी धनवान् नृपचोरतोऽर्थहानिः स्यात्॥ सहजेऽतिरोषबलवान् निजबन्धुषु संक्षयोऽतिविख्यातः॥४॥
If the Sun occupy the 2nd house, the person concerned will suffer from diseases in the face; he will be immensely rich, but will lose his wealth by a royal order or through theft. If the Sun should occupy the 3rd house, the person born will be irascible and he will possess great strength. He will meet with his end in the midst of his relations. He will attain great fame.

निजधनहीनो हिबुके सन्तापी बुद्धिशौर्यसम्पन्नः। त्वरितवचनोऽतिमेधो नातिसुतो नार्थवान् खौ सुतगे॥५॥
When the Sun occupies the 4th house, he will be of a provoking temperament. He will be intelligent and brave. He will speak rapidly, have a retentive memory. He will not have many issue, nor much wealth.
