लग्नात्मजेशौ संयुक्तावन्योन्यं वाऽपि वीक्षितौ। क्षेत्रे परस्परस्थौ वा पुत्रयोगा इमे स्मृताः॥६॥
The following are the yogas that lead to the birth of a son:—(1) The conjunction of the lords of the Lagna and the 5th house; (2) the mutual aspect of these two lords; (3) exchange of places between the lords; . -

lagnAtmajezau saMyuktAvanyonyaM vA'pi vIkSitau। kSetre parasparasthau vA putrayogA ime smRtAH॥6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नं मुक्त्वा तु विषमं बलवान् भास्करात्मजः। स्थितस्तु पुत्रदो ज्ञेयो नान्यग्रहयुतेक्षितः॥७॥
- Saturn being strong, posited in an odd house except the Lagna and not being aspected by or conjoined with any other planet; . -
english translation
lagnaM muktvA tu viSamaM balavAn bhAskarAtmajaH। sthitastu putrado jJeyo nAnyagrahayutekSitaH॥7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुंग्रहाः षष्ठलाभस्थाः पञ्चमेशो बली यदा। सर्वे विषमराशिस्थाः पुत्रयोगा इमे स्मृताः॥८॥
- (5) all the male planets occupying the 6th or (and) the 11th house; (6) the lord of the 5th house being very strong; and (7) all the planets occupying odd houses.

puMgrahAH SaSThalAbhasthAH paJcamezo balI yadA। sarve viSamarAzisthAH putrayogA ime smRtAH॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचन्द्रशुक्रौ युतौ वाऽपि पञ्चमे दशमेऽपि वा। स्वर्क्षे वास्वांशके वाऽपि स्त्रीयोगाः शास्त्रलक्षिताः॥९॥
The following are the female producing yogas laid down in the science:—(1) the conjunction of the Moon and Venus either in the 5th house or the 10th house (2) their occupying their own Rasis; (3) they being in their own Navamsas ; . -

candrazukrau yutau vA'pi paJcame dazame'pi vA। svarkSe vAsvAMzake vA'pi strIyogAH zAstralakSitAH॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराहूदये चन्द्रदृष्टे विपरीतेऽथवा यदि। चन्द्रहोरागते शुक्रे केन्द्रस्थे वा तथैव च॥१०॥
- (4) Rahu in the Lagna being aspected by the Moon; (5) the Moon in the Lagna being aspected by Rahu; (6) Venus in the lunar Hora and (7) Venus in a Kendra.
