पाकपतौ लग्नस्थे स्वोच्चे स्वर्क्षे त्रिभागदशमे स्वे। तस्य दशा पुष्टफला तेषु नवांशस्थितेषु मध्यफला॥१२॥

When the lord of the Dasa occupies the Lagna, is in his exaltation, in his own Rasi or in his own decanate, his Dasa will prove fully benefic in effect. If he should occupy only the Navamsas of the abovementioned places, the effect will only be mixed.

english translation

pAkapatau lagnasthe svocce svarkSe tribhAgadazame sve। tasya dazA puSTaphalA teSu navAMzasthiteSu madhyaphalA॥12॥
