दुर्गारण्यनिवासं कर्षणकर्मसु रतिं महोत्साहम्। सिंहे शशी प्रकुरुते स्त्रीपुत्रविवादमनिशं वा॥१६॥
Living in a dense forest, intense liking in acts causing torment to others, engaged all the time in quarrels with one's wife and children, all these will be the result when the Moon occupies Simha.

मित्रोच्चोपचयस्थाने त्रिकोणे सप्तमेऽपि वा। पाकेश्वरे स्थितश्चन्द्रः कुरुते सत्फलां दशाम्॥१७॥
If the lord of the Dasa occupy at the time a friendly, or exaltation house, an Upachaya house, a Trikona, or the 7th house, the Moon will generally cause benefic effects.

विपरीतगतश्चन्द्रो दशादौ पर्यवस्थितः। स्वोच्चगस्यापि खेटस्य दशा न प्रतिपूजिता॥१८॥
If, at the commencement of a Dasa, the Moon should occupy an untoward house, the lord of the Dasa, though placed in exaltation, will not reciprocate the benefic effects that are ordinarily expected.

एतैः प्रकारैर्बहुभिरवधार्य विवेकिना। शुभाशुभपरिज्ञानं पुरुषं प्रतिचिन्तयेत्॥१९॥
It is by examining in such various ways that a wise man should determine the good and bad effects that may befall the native.
