सति तत्र ग्रहैर्युक्ते गुणयेद्ग्रहसंख्यया। एवं संगुण्य संयोज्य सप्तभिर्गुणयेत्पुनः॥४२॥
If there is a planet also in the Rasi, the number of benefic dots should be multiplied by the planet-multiplier. Having thus multiplied separately and added the products, the result should be multiplied by 7 . -

सप्तविंशतिसंभक्तात्तस्माल्लब्धं तु वत्सराः। शिष्टं रूपैर्नगैर्नीचैर्हत्वा हृत्वा पृथक् पृथक्॥४३॥
- and divided by 27. The quotient will represent the number in years contributed by the planet. When the remainder is multiplied by 12 and divided by 27, we get the number of months Similarly, when the remainder now obtained is multiplied by 30 and divided by 27, we get the number of days; . -

हारेण तेन लब्धाः स्युर्मासाहर्घटिकाः क्रमात्। सप्तविंशतिवर्षाणि मण्डलं परिकीर्तितम्॥४४॥
- and lastly, when the last remainder is multiplied by 60 and divided by 27, we get the number of Ghatikas. 27 years constitute a Mandala.

तद्भागशुद्धाः संग्राह्या मण्डलाधिकवत्सराः। अन्योन्यमर्धहरणं ग्रहयोगे तु कारयेत्॥४५॥
When a figure divided by 27 yields a remainder, the remainder alone should be taken as the number of years contributed. When a planet is conjoined with another, the contributions of both the planets should be reduced by a half.
