उभयोर्ग्रहसंयोगे न संशोध्यं कदाचन। उभाभ्यां ग्रहहीनाभ्यां समत्वे सकलं त्यजेत्॥३६॥
When both the houses are occupied by planets, no reduction need be made. When both the signs are without planets and contain an equal number of benefic dots, remove the dots from both.

एकस्मिन् भवने शून्ये न संशोध्यं कदाचन। कुलीरसिंहयो राश्योः पृथक क्षेत्रफलं स्मृतम्॥३७॥
If one of the houses be devoid of benefic dots, no reduction need be effected. The benefic dots in the signs Karkataka and Simha should not be disturbed, but kept in tact.

शोध्यावशिष्टं संस्थाप्य राशिमानेन वर्धयेत्। ग्रहयुक्ते तु तद्राशौ ग्रहमानेन वर्धयेत्॥३८॥
The resultant figures remaning after the above-mentioned two reductions in the several signs are to be multiplied each by its corresponding Rasimultiplier. If a particular Rasi be occupied by a planet, then the number of benefic dots should be further multiplied by the respective planet-multiplier.
