कुलत्थाः शङ्खचूर्णं च प्रदेहः सार्वगन्धिकः | गृध्रोलूकपुरीषाणि यवा यवफलो घृतम् ||६||

Kulattha (horse gram), powdered conch-shell, and the plaster of the Sarvagandha group should be used as Pradehas (plasters). The body should be fumigated with the dung of vultures and owls, barley, Yava (barley grains), and Yava-phala (bamboo), mixed with clarified butter.

The body of the child should be fumigated in the morning and evening with the smoke of Varuna, Arishta (Nimba), Rucaka, Sinduka (Nirgundi), and Putranjivaka.

The child should constantly wear a neck-ornament made from Varuna, Arishta, Rucaka, Sinduka, and Putranjivaka. Additionally, the child and the nurse should be bathed at the junction of rivers with offerings of white flowers, milk, parched paddy, and boiled Shali rice.

The physician, with self-control, should offer sacrifices to the goddess Revati in a cow-shed, using white flowers, milk, parched paddy, and boiled Shali rice. Additionally, the nurse and the child should bathe at the confluence of rivers.

May the dark-complexioned goddess, who is tall, drooping, and terrible-looking, and the mother of many sons, always be propitious to you."
