पुन्नामानः खगा वामाः स्त्रीसञ्ज्ञा दक्षिणाः शुभाः । दक्षिणाद्वामगमनं प्रशस्तं श्वशृगालयोः । वामं नकुलचाषाणां नोभयं शशसर्पयोः ॥३६॥
"Birds with auspicious names, those on the left side, and those with a female designation are considered to bring good fortune. The movement from the right to the left is auspicious in the case of weasels and crows, but not in the case of hares and serpents."
english translation
"शुभ नाम वाले पक्षी, बाईं ओर के पक्षी और स्त्री संज्ञा वाले पक्षी शुभ माने जाते हैं। दाहिनी से बाईं ओर जाने वाला मार्ग गीदड़ और कौवे के लिए प्रशस्त है, परंतु शश और सर्प के लिए नहीं।"

hk transliteration by Sanscriptभासकौशिकयोश्चैव न प्रशस्तं किलोभयम् । दर्शनं वा रुतं वाऽपि न गोधाकृकलासयोः ॥३७॥
"Seeing or hearing sounds from the Bhaskauśika (a type of bird) or the Kilobha (another bird) is not considered auspicious. This also applies to the sightings or sounds from cattle and creatures in the fields."

"भासकौशिक या किलोभ पक्षियों का दर्शन या उनका रुदन शुभ नहीं माना जाता। यही नियम गोवंश और खेतों में रहने वाले प्राणियों के लिए भी लागू होता है।"

"Seeing or hearing sounds from inauspicious messengers or those that resemble them is not considered good. This includes seeing objects such as kulattha (horse gram), tila (sesame seeds), arka (castor), puspa (flowers), stones, and ashes."

"अशुभ दूतों या उनके समान दिखने वाले दूतों का दर्शन शुभ नहीं माना जाता। इसमें कुलथ्था (घोड़ा ग्राम), तिल, अर्क (अरंडी), पुष्प, पत्थर, और राख का भी दर्शन शामिल है।"

"A vessel filled with ashes, oil, or mud is considered inauspicious. Similarly, a vessel filled with mustard seeds or anything that is not pure is also not auspicious."

"ऐसा पात्र जो राख, तेल, या कीचड़ से भरा हो, अशुभ माना जाता है। इसी प्रकार, यदि पात्र पूर्णतः रक्त सरसपै (रक्त सरसों) से भरा हो या कुछ भी अशुद्ध हो, तो वह भी अशुभ होता है।"

"Dry and lifeless wood, or wood from dead bodies or palasa trees, when placed on the path, will lead to the failure of the undertaking and the occurrence of unfavorable results."
