The sight of an envoy, conversation with him, dress, and actions; the bear, time, and date are also signs. The movements of birds are omens.

दूत को देखना, उसके साथ बातचीत, वस्त्र और क्रियाएँ; भालू, समय और तिथि भी संकेत हैं। पक्षियों की गतिविधियाँ भी पूर्वसूचक होती हैं।

dUtadarzanasambhASA veSAzceSTitameva ca । RkSaM velA tithizcaiva nimittaM zakuno'nilaH ॥3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेशो वैद्यस्य वाग्देहमनसां च विचेष्टितम् । कथयन्त्यातुरगतं शुभं वा यदि वाऽशुभम् ॥४॥
The country, the physician's speech, and the behavior and mental state of the sick person are to be observed. By these, one can determine whether the condition of the patient is auspicious or inauspicious.

देश, वैद्य की वाणी, और रोगी की क्रियाएँ और मानसिक स्थिति को देखा जाए। इनसे यह निर्धारित किया जा सकता है कि रोगी की स्थिति शुभ है या अशुभ।

dezo vaidyasya vAgdehamanasAM ca viceSTitam । kathayantyAturagataM zubhaM vA yadi vA'zubham ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाख(ष)ण्डाश्रमवर्णानां सपक्षाः कर्मसिद्धये । त एव विपरीताः स्युर्दूताः कर्मविपत्तये ॥५॥
The deceitful or false ascetics and their supporters will contribute to the success of actions. However, they themselves will be the cause of failure in actions.
