"Birds with auspicious names, those on the left side, and those with a female designation are considered to bring good fortune. The movement from the right to the left is auspicious in the case of weasels and crows, but not in the case of hares and serpents."

"शुभ नाम वाले पक्षी, बाईं ओर के पक्षी और स्त्री संज्ञा वाले पक्षी शुभ माने जाते हैं। दाहिनी से बाईं ओर जाने वाला मार्ग गीदड़ और कौवे के लिए प्रशस्त है, परंतु शश और सर्प के लिए नहीं।"
