न हि वातं सिराः काश्चिन्न पित्तं केवलं तथा | श्लेष्माणं वा वहन्त्येता अतः सर्ववहाः स्मृताः ||१६||

तत्रारुणा वातवहाः पूर्यन्ते वायुना सिराः | पित्तादुष्णाश्च नीलाश्च, शीता गौर्यः स्थिराः कफात् असृग्वहास्तु रोहिण्यः सिरा नात्युष्णशीतलाः ||१८||

There, the red vessels are filled with air, the blue ones are due to the heat of pitta, the white ones are stable due to coldness, and the blood vessels are neither too hot nor too cold.

वहाँ, अरुण सिराएँ वायु से पूरित होती हैं, पित्त के कारण नीली सिराएँ होती हैं, ठंड के कारण स्थिर गौर सिराएँ होती हैं, और रक्त वाहिकाएँ न अत्यधिक गर्म और न अत्यधिक ठंडी होती हैं।
