सप्त सिराशतानि भवन्ति; याभिरिदं शरीरमाराम इव जलहारिणीभिः केदार इव च कुल्याभिरुपस्निह्यतेऽनुगृह्यते चाकुञ्चनप्रसारणादिभिर्विशेषैः; द्रुमपत्रसेवनीनामिव तासां प्रतानाः; तासां नाभिर्मूलं, ततश्च प्रसरन्त्यूर्ध्वमधस्तिर्यक् च ॥३॥
There are seven hundred Siras (vessels) in the body; they nourish and sustain the body, just as water channels irrigate a garden or streams irrigate a field through contraction, expansion, and other functions. From the main vessels, smaller ones branch out, resembling the veins of a leaf. Their root is in the navel, from where they spread upwards, downwards, and sideways.

शरीर में सात सौ सिराएँ होती हैं; वे शरीर को इस प्रकार पोषण और सहारा देती हैं, जैसे जलवाहिनियाँ बाग या खेत को सींचती हैं, और यह आकुंचन, प्रसारण आदि विशेष क्रियाओं के द्वारा होता है। मुख्य सिराओं से छोटी-छोटी शाखाएँ निकलती हैं, जो पेड़ के पत्तों की शिराओं के समान होती हैं। इनका मूल नाभि में होता है, जहाँ से वे ऊपर, नीचे और तिरछी दिशाओं में फैलती हैं।

भवतश्चात्र श्लोकौ- यावत्यस्तु सिराः काये सम्भवन्ति शरीरिणाम् । नाभ्यां सर्वा निबद्धास्ताः प्रतन्वन्ति समन्ततः ॥४॥
Here are the verses: The Siras that exist in the body of living beings are all connected to the navel. From there, they spread in all directions.

यहाँ श्लोक हैं: शरीरधारियों के शरीर में जितनी भी सिराएँ होती हैं, वे सभी नाभि से जुड़ी होती हैं। वहीं से वे चारों दिशाओं में फैलती हैं।

नाभिस्थाः प्राणिनां प्राणाः प्राणान्नाभिर्व्युपाश्रिता । सिराभिरावृता नाभिश्चक्रनाभिरिवारकैः ॥५॥
The life forces (Pranas) of living beings reside in the navel, and the navel is supported by the life forces. The navel is surrounded by vessels, just as the hub of a wheel is surrounded by its spokes.
