कतमोऽपि न वेनः स्यात्पञ्चानां पुरुषं प्रति । तस्मात्केनाप्युपायेन मनः कृष्णे निवेशयेत् ॥ ७-१-३१ ॥
Somehow or other, one must consider the form of Kṛṣṇa very seriously. Then, by one of the five different processes mentioned above, one can return home, back to Godhead. Atheists like King Vena, however, being unable to think of Kṛṣṇa’s form in any of these five ways, cannot attain salvation. Therefore, one must somehow think of Kṛṣṇa, whether in a friendly way or inimically. ॥ 7-1-31 ॥

मनुष्य को किसी न किसी प्रकार से कृष्ण के स्वरूप पर गम्भीरता से विचार करना चाहिए। तब ऊपर बताई गई पाँच विधियों में से किसी एक के द्वारा वह भगवद्धाम वापस जा सकता है। लेकिन राजा वेन जैसे नास्तिक इन पाँचों विधियों में से किसी एक के द्वारा कृष्ण के स्वरूप का चिन्तन करने में असमर्थ होने से मोक्ष नहीं पा सकते। अतएव मनुष्य को चाहिए कि जैसे भी हो, चाहे मित्र बनकर या शत्रु बनकर, वह भगवान् का चिन्तन करे। ॥ ७-१-३१ ॥

मातृष्वसेयो वश्चैद्यो दन्तवक्त्रश्च पाण्डव । पार्षदप्रवरौ विष्णोर्विप्रशापात्पदाच्च्युतौ ॥ ७-१-३२ ॥
Nārada Muni continued: O best of the Pāṇḍavas, your two cousins Śiśupāla and Dantavakra, the sons of your maternal aunt, were formerly associates of Lord Viṣṇu, but because they were cursed by brāhmaṇas, they fell from Vaikuṇṭha to this material world. ॥ 7-1-32 ॥

नारद मुनि ने आगे कहा : हे पाण्डवश्रेष्ठ, तुम्हारी मौसी के दोनों पुत्र तुम्हारे चचेरे भाई शिशुपाल तथा दन्तवक्र पहले भगवान् विष्णु के पार्षद थे, लेकिन ब्राह्मणों के शाप से वे वैकुण्ठ लोक से इस भौतिक जगत में आ गिरे। ॥ ७-१-३२ ॥

युधिष्ठिर उवाच कीदृशः कस्य वा शापो हरिदासाभिमर्शनः । अश्रद्धेय इवाभाति हरेरेकान्तिनां भवः ॥ ७-१-३३ ॥
Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira inquired: What kind of great curse could affect even liberated viṣṇu-bhaktas, and what sort of person could curse even the Lord’s associates? For unflinching devotees of the Lord to fall again to this material world is impossible. I cannot believe this. ॥ 7-1-33 ॥

महाराज युधिष्ठिर ने पूछा : किस प्रकार के महान् श्राप ने मुक्त विष्णु-भक्तों को भी प्रभावित किया और किस तरह का व्यक्ति भगवान् के भी पार्षदों को श्राप दे सका? भगवान् के दृढ़ भक्तों के लिए इस भौतिक जगत में फिर से आ गिरना असम्भव है। मैं इस पर विश्वास नहीं कर सकता। ॥ ७-१-३३ ॥

देहेन्द्रियासुहीनानां वैकुण्ठपुरवासिनाम् । देहसम्बन्धसम्बद्धमेतदाख्यातुमर्हसि ॥ ७-१-३४ ॥
The bodies of the inhabitants of Vaikuṇṭha are completely spiritual, having nothing to do with the material body, senses or life air. Therefore, kindly explain how associates of the Personality of Godhead were cursed to descend in material bodies like ordinary persons. ॥ 7-1-34 ॥

वैकुण्ठवासियों के शरीर पूर्णतया आध्यात्मिक होते हैं, उनको भौतिक शरीर से, इन्द्रियों या प्राण से कुछ लेना-देना नहीं रहता। अतएव कृपा करके बताइये कि किस तरह भगवान् के पार्षदों को सामान्य व्यक्तियों की तरह भौतिक शरीर में अवतरित होने का श्राप दिया गया? ॥ ७-१-३४ ॥

नारद उवाच एकदा ब्रह्मणः पुत्रा विष्णोर्लोकं यदृच्छया । सनन्दनादयो जग्मुश्चरन्तो भुवनत्रयम् ॥ ७-१-३५ ॥
The great saint Nārada said: Once upon a time when the four sons of Lord Brahmā named Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanātana and Sanat-kumāra were wandering throughout the three worlds, they came by chance to Viṣṇuloka. ॥ 7-1-35 ॥
english translation
परम साधु नारद ने कहा—एक बार ब्रह्मा के चारों पुत्र जिनके नाम सनक, सनन्दन, सनातन तथा सनत्कुमार हैं, तीनों लोकों का विचरण करते हुए संयोगवश विष्णुलोक में आये। ॥ ७-१-३५ ॥
