अथ ते भ्रातृपुत्राणां पक्षयोः पतितान्नृपान् । चचाल भूः कुरुक्षेत्रं येषामापततां बलैः ।। ३-३-१२ ।।

sanskrit

Then, O Vidura, the Lord caused all the kings, both the enemies and those on the side of your fighting nephews, to be killed in the Battle of Kurukṣetra. All those kings were so great and strong that the earth seemed to shake as they traversed the warfield. ।। 3-3-12 ।।

english translation

तत्पश्चात्, हे विदुर, भगवान् ने शत्रुओं को तथा लड़ रहे तुम्हारे भतीजों के पक्ष के समस्त राजाओं को कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्ध में मरवा डाला। वे सारे राजा इतने विराट तथा बलवान थे कि जब वे युद्धभूमि में विचरण करते तो पृथ्वी हिलती प्रतीत होती। ।। ३-३-१२ ।।
