गुणैर्विचित्राः सृजतीं सरूपाः प्रकृतिं प्रजाः । विलोक्य मुमुहे सद्यः स इह ज्ञानगूहया ।। ३-२६-५ ।।

Divided into varieties by her threefold modes, material nature creates the forms of the living entities, and the living entities, seeing this, are illusioned by the knowledge-covering feature of the illusory energy. ।। 3-26-5 ।।

english translation

अपने तीन गुणों से अनेक प्रकारों में विभक्त यह भौतिक प्रकृति जीवों के स्वरूपों को उत्पन्न करती है और इसे देखकर सारे जीव माया के ज्ञान-आच्छादक गुण से मोहग्रस्त हो जाते हैं। ।। ३-२६-५ ।।
