ततः सपत्नं मुखतश्चरन्तमकुतोभयम् । जघानोत्पत्य गदया हनावसुरमक्षजः ॥ ३-१९-२ ॥
The Lord, who had appeared from the nostril of Brahmā, sprang and aimed His mace at the chin of His enemy, the Hiraṇyākṣa demon, who was stalking fearlessly before Him. ॥ 3-19-2 ॥

ब्रह्मा के नथुने से प्रकट भगवान् उछल पड़े और अपने सामने निर्भय होकर विचरण करने वाले अपने असुर शत्रु हिरण्याक्ष की ठोड़ी पर उन्होंने अपनी गदा से प्रहार किया। ॥ ३-१९-२ ॥
