मयि संरम्भयोगेन निस्तीर्य ब्रह्महेलनम् । प्रत्येष्यतं निकाशं मे कालेनाल्पीयसा पुनः ॥ ३-१६-३१ ॥
The Lord assured the two Vaikuṇṭha inhabitants, Jaya and Vijaya: By practicing the mystic yoga system in anger, you will be cleansed of the sin of disobeying the brāhmaṇas and within a very short time return to Me. ॥ 3-16-31 ॥
english translation
भगवान् ने जय तथा विजय नामक दोनों वैकुण्ठवासियों को आश्वस्त किया : क्रोध में योगाभ्यास द्वारा तुम ब्राह्मणों की अवज्ञा करने के पाप से मुक्त हो जाओगे और अत्यल्प अवधि में मेरे पास वापस आ जाओगे। ॥ ३-१६-३१ ॥

द्वाःस्थावादिश्य भगवान् विमानश्रेणिभूषणम् । सर्वातिशयया लक्ष्म्या जुष्टं स्वं धिष्ण्यमाविशत् ॥ ३-१६-३२ ॥
After thus speaking at the door of Vaikuṇṭha, the Lord returned to His abode, where there are many celestial airplanes and all-surpassing wealth and splendor. ॥ 3-16-32 ॥
english translation
वैकुण्ठ के द्वार पर इस प्रकार बोलकर भगवान् अपने धाम लौट गये जहाँ पर अनेक स्वर्गिक विमान तथा सर्वोपरि सम्पत्ति तथा चमक-दमक रहती है। ॥ ३-१६-३२ ॥

तौ तु गीर्वाणऋषभौ दुस्तराद्धरिलोकतः । हतश्रियौ ब्रह्मशापादभूतां विगतस्मयौ ॥ ३-१६-३३ ॥
But those two gatekeepers, the best of the demigods, their beauty and luster diminished by the curse of the brāhmaṇas, became morose and fell from Vaikuṇṭha, the abode of the Supreme Lord. ॥ 3-16-33 ॥

किन्तु वे दोनों द्वारपाल, जो कि देवताओं में सर्वश्रेष्ठ थे, जिनका सौन्दर्य तथा कान्ति ब्राह्मणों के शाप से उतर गए थे, खिन्न हो गये और भगवान् के धाम वैकुण्ठ से नीचे गिर गये। ॥ ३-१६-३३ ॥

तदा विकुण्ठधिषणात्तयोर्निपतमानयोः । हाहाकारो महानासीद्विमानाग्र्येषु पुत्रकाः ॥ ३-१६-३४ ॥
Then, as Jaya and Vijaya fell from the Lord’s abode, a great roar of disappointment arose from all the demigods, who were sitting in their splendid airplanes. ॥ 3-16-34 ॥

तब, जब जय तथा विजय भगवान् के धाम से गिरे तो अपने भव्य विमानों में बैठे हुए सारे देवताओं ने निराश होकर उत्कट हाहाकार किया। ॥ ३-१६-३४ ॥

तावेव ह्यधुना प्राप्तौ पार्षदप्रवरौ हरेः । दितेर्जठरनिर्विष्टं काश्यपं तेज उल्बणम् ॥ ३-१६-३५ ॥
Lord Brahmā continued: Those two principal doorkeepers of the Personality of Godhead have now entered the womb of Diti, the powerful semen of Kaśyapa Muni having covered them. ॥ 3-16-35 ॥

ब्रह्मा ने आगे कहा : भगवान् के उन दो प्रमुख द्वारपालों ने अब दिति के गर्भ में प्रवेश किया है और कश्यप मुनि के बलशाली वीर्य से वे आवृत हो चुके हैं। ॥ ३-१६-३५ ॥
