अथोपस्पृश्य सलिलं प्राणानायम्य वाग्यतः । ध्यायञ्जजाप विरजं ब्रह्मज्योतिः सनातनम् ।। ३-१४-३१ ।।

sanskrit

Thereafter the brāhmaṇa took his bath in the water and controlled his speech by practicing trance, meditating on the eternal effulgence and chanting the holy Gāyatrī hymns within his mouth. ।। 3-14-31 ।।

english translation

तत्पश्चात् उस ब्राह्मण ने जल में स्नान किया और समाधि में नित्य तेज का ध्यान करते हुए तथा मुख के भीतर पवित्र गायत्री मंत्र का जप करते हुए अपनी वाणी को वश में किया। ।। ३-१४-३१ ।।
