तस्यैव चान्ते कल्पोऽभूद्यं पाद्ममभिचक्षते । यद्धरेर्नाभिसरस आसील्लोकसरोरुहम् ‌॥ ३-११-३५ ॥

The millennium which followed the first Brāhma millennium is known as the Pādma-kalpa because in that millennium the universal lotus flower grew out of the navel reservoir of water of the Personality of Godhead, Hari. ॥ 3-11-35 ॥

english translation

प्रथम ब्राह्म-कल्प के बाद का कल्प पाद्म-कल्प कहलाता है, क्योंकि उस काल में विश्वरूप कमल का फूल भगवान् हरि के नाभि रूपी जलाशय से प्रकट हुआ। ॥ ३-११-३५ ॥
