सोऽसृजत्तपसा युक्तो रजसा मदनुग्रहात् । लोकान् सपालान् विश्वात्मा भूर्भुवःस्वरिति त्रिधा ।। ११-२४-११ ।।

sanskrit

Lord Brahmā, the soul of the universe, being endowed with the mode of passion, performed great austerities by My mercy and thus created the three planetary divisions, called Bhūr, Bhuvar and Svar, along with their presiding deities. ।। 11-24-11 ।।

english translation

ब्रह्मांड की आत्मा, भगवान ब्रह्मा ने, रजोगुण से संपन्न होकर, मेरी दया से महान तपस्या की और इस प्रकार अपने ईष्ट देवताओं के साथ भूर, भुवर और स्वर नामक तीन ग्रह मंडलों का निर्माण किया। ।। ११-२४-११ ।।

देवानामोक आसीत्स्वर्भूतानां च भुवः पदम् । मर्त्यादीनां च भूर्लोकः सिद्धानां त्रितयात्परम् ।। ११-२४-१२ ।।

sanskrit

Heaven was established as the residence of the demigods, Bhuvarloka as that of the ghostly spirits, and the earth system as the place of human beings and other mortal creatures. Those mystics who strive for liberation are promoted beyond these three divisions. ।। 11-24-12 ।।

english translation

स्वर्ग को देवताओं के निवास के रूप में, भुवर्लोक को प्रेत आत्माओं के निवास के रूप में, और पृथ्वी मंडल को मनुष्यों और अन्य नश्वर प्राणियों के निवास के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था। जो रहस्यवादी मुक्ति के लिए प्रयास करते हैं उन्हें इन तीन विभागों से परे पदोन्नत किया जाता है। ।। ११-२४-१२ ।।

अधोऽसुराणां नागानां भूमेरोकोऽसृजत्प्रभुः । त्रिलोक्यां गतयः सर्वाः कर्मणां त्रिगुणात्मनाम् ।। ११-२४-१३ ।।

Lord Brahmā created the region below the earth for the demons and the Nāga snakes. In this way the destinations of the three worlds were arranged as the corresponding reactions for different kinds of work performed within the three modes of nature. ।। 11-24-13 ।।

english translation

भगवान ब्रह्मा ने राक्षसों और नाग सांपों के लिए पृथ्वी के नीचे का क्षेत्र बनाया। इस प्रकार तीनों लोकों के गंतव्यों को प्रकृति के तीन गुणों के भीतर किए गए विभिन्न प्रकार के कार्यों के अनुरूप प्रतिक्रियाओं के रूप में व्यवस्थित किया गया। ।। ११-२४-१३ ।।

By mystic yoga, great austerities and the renounced order of life, the pure destinations of Maharloka, Janoloka, Tapoloka and Satyaloka are attained. But by devotional yoga, one achieves My transcendental abode. ।। 11-24-14 ।।

रहस्यमय योग, महान तपस्या और जीवन के त्याग क्रम से, महर्लोक, जनोलोक, तपोलोक और सत्यलोक के शुद्ध गंतव्य प्राप्त होते हैं। लेकिन भक्तियोग से व्यक्ति मेरे दिव्य धाम को प्राप्त कर लेता है। ।। ११-२४-१४ ।।

All results of fruitive work have been arranged within this world by Me, the supreme creator acting as the force of time. Thus one sometimes rises up toward the surface of this mighty river of the modes of nature and sometimes again submerges. ।। 11-24-15 ।।

सकाम कर्म के सभी परिणामों को इस संसार में मेरे द्वारा, समय की शक्ति के रूप में कार्य करने वाले सर्वोच्च निर्माता द्वारा व्यवस्थित किया गया है। इस प्रकार व्यक्ति कभी-कभी प्रकृति के गुणों की इस शक्तिशाली नदी की सतह की ओर ऊपर उठता है और कभी-कभी फिर से डूब जाता है। ।। ११-२४-१५ ।।
