विदेहस्तानभिप्रेत्य नारायणपरायणान् । प्रीतः सम्पूजयाञ्चक्रे आसनस्थान् यथार्हतः ।। ११-२-२६ ।।

King Videha [Nimi] understood that the nine sages were exalted devotees of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore, overjoyed at their auspicious arrival, he offered them suitable sitting places and worshiped them in a proper way, just as one would worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead. ।। 11-2-26 ।।

english translation

राजा विदेह [निमी] समझ गए कि नौ ऋषि भगवान के परम भक्त थे। इसलिए, उनके शुभ आगमन पर अत्यधिक प्रसन्न होकर, उन्होंने उन्हें बैठने के लिए उपयुक्त स्थान प्रदान किया और उचित तरीके से उनकी पूजा की, जैसे कोई भगवान के सर्वोच्च व्यक्तित्व की पूजा करता है। ।। ११-२-२६ ।।

तान् रोचमानान् स्वरुचा ब्रह्मपुत्रोपमान् नव । पप्रच्छ परमप्रीतः प्रश्रयावनतो नृपः ।। ११-२-२७ ।।

sanskrit

Overwhelmed by transcendental joy, the King humbly bowed his head and then proceeded to question the nine sages. These nine great souls glowed with their own effulgence and thus appeared equal to the four Kumāras, the sons of Lord Brahmā. ।। 11-2-27 ।।

english translation

दिव्य आनंद से अभिभूत होकर, राजा ने विनम्रतापूर्वक अपना सिर झुकाया और फिर नौ ऋषियों से प्रश्न करने के लिए आगे बढ़े। ये नौ महान आत्माएँ अपने तेज से चमकती थीं और इस प्रकार भगवान ब्रह्मा के पुत्रों, चार कुमारों के समान दिखाई देती थीं। ।। ११-२-२७ ।।

King Videha said: I think that you must be direct associates of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is famous as the enemy of the demon Madhu. Indeed, the pure devotees of Lord Viṣṇu wander throughout the universe not for their personal, selfish interest, but to purify all the conditioned souls. ।। 11-2-28 ।।

english translation

राजा विदेह ने कहा: मुझे लगता है कि आप भगवान के प्रत्यक्ष सहयोगी होंगे, जो राक्षस मधु के शत्रु के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हैं। वास्तव में, भगवान विष्णु के शुद्ध भक्त अपने व्यक्तिगत, स्वार्थ के लिए नहीं, बल्कि सभी बद्ध आत्माओं को शुद्ध करने के लिए पूरे ब्रह्मांड में घूमते हैं। ।। ११-२-२८ ।।

दुर्लभो मानुषो देहो देहिनां क्षणभङ्गुरः । तत्रापि दुर्लभं मन्ये वैकुण्ठप्रियदर्शनम् ।। ११-२-२९ ।।

For the conditioned souls, the human body is most difficult to achieve, and it can be lost at any moment. But I think that even those who have achieved human life rarely gain the association of pure devotees, who are dear to the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha. ।। 11-2-29 ।।

english translation

बद्ध आत्माओं के लिए, मानव शरीर प्राप्त करना सबसे कठिन है, और इसे किसी भी क्षण खोया जा सकता है। लेकिन मुझे लगता है कि जिन लोगों ने मानव जीवन प्राप्त किया है, उन्हें भी शायद ही कभी शुद्ध भक्तों की संगति मिलती है, जो वैकुंठ के भगवान के प्रिय हैं। ।। ११-२-२९ ।।

Therefore, O completely sinless ones, I ask you to kindly tell me what the supreme good is. After all, even half a moment’s association with pure devotees within this world of birth and death is a priceless treasure for any man. ।। 11-2-30 ।।

इसलिए, हे पूर्ण पापरहित लोगों, मैं आपसे अनुरोध करता हूं कि कृपया मुझे बताएं कि सर्वोच्च अच्छा क्या है। आख़िरकार, जन्म और मृत्यु की इस दुनिया में शुद्ध भक्तों के साथ आधे पल की संगति भी किसी भी व्यक्ति के लिए अमूल्य निधि है। ।। ११-२-३० ।।
