अग्न्यर्काचार्यगोविप्रगुरुवृद्धसुराञ्शुचिः । समाहित उपासीत सन्ध्ये च यतवाग्जपन् ।। ११-१७-२६ ।।

sanskrit

Purified and fixed in consciousness, the brahmacārī should worship the fire-god, sun, ācārya, cows, brāhmaṇas, guru, elderly respectable persons and demigods. He should perform such worship at sunrise and sunset, without speaking but by silently chanting or murmuring the appropriate mantras. ।। 11-17-26 ।।

english translation

शुद्ध और चेतना में स्थिर होकर, ब्रह्मचारी को अग्नि देवता, सूर्य, आचार्य, गाय, ब्राह्मण, गुरु, बुजुर्ग सम्मानित व्यक्तियों और देवताओं की पूजा करनी चाहिए। उसे ऐसी पूजा सूर्योदय और सूर्यास्त के समय बिना बोले, चुपचाप उचित मंत्रों का जाप या बड़बड़ाते हुए करनी चाहिए। ।। ११-१७-२६ ।।

One should know the ācārya as Myself and never disrespect him in any way. One should not envy him, thinking him an ordinary man, for he is the representative of all the demigods. ।। 11-17-27 ।।

व्यक्ति को आचार्य को मेरे ही रूप में जानना चाहिए और किसी भी तरह से उनका अनादर नहीं करना चाहिए। किसी को भी उसे सामान्य मनुष्य समझकर ईर्ष्या नहीं करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि वह सभी देवताओं का प्रतिनिधि है। ।। ११-१७-२७ ।।

In the morning and evening one should collect foodstuffs and other articles and deliver them to the spiritual master. Then, being self-controlled, one should accept for oneself that which is allotted by the ācārya. ।। 11-17-28 ।।

सुबह और शाम को भोजन सामग्री और अन्य सामान इकट्ठा करना चाहिए और उन्हें आध्यात्मिक गुरु तक पहुंचाना चाहिए। फिर, आत्म-नियंत्रित होकर, व्यक्ति को अपने लिए वही स्वीकार करना चाहिए जो आचार्य द्वारा आवंटित किया गया है। ।। ११-१७-२८ ।।

शुश्रूषमाण आचार्यं सदोपासीत नीचवत् । यानशय्यासनस्थानैर्नातिदूरे कृताञ्जलिः ।। ११-१७-२९ ।।

While engaged in serving the spiritual master one should remain as a humble servant, and thus when the guru is walking the servant should humbly walk behind. When the guru lies down to sleep, the servant should also lie down nearby, and when the guru has awakened, the servant should sit near him, massaging his lotus feet and rendering other, similar services. When the guru is sitting down on his āsana, the servant should stand nearby with folded hands, awaiting the guru’s order. In this way one should always worship the spiritual master. ।। 11-17-29 ।।

english translation

आध्यात्मिक गुरु की सेवा करते समय व्यक्ति को एक विनम्र सेवक बनकर रहना चाहिए और इस प्रकार जब गुरु चल रहे हों तो सेवक को विनम्रतापूर्वक पीछे चलना चाहिए। जब गुरु सोने के लिए लेटते हैं, तो सेवक को भी पास में लेटना चाहिए, और जब गुरु जाग जाएं, तो सेवक को उनके पास बैठना चाहिए, उनके चरण कमलों की मालिश करनी चाहिए और अन्य समान सेवाएं प्रदान करनी चाहिए। जब गुरु अपने आसन पर बैठे हों, तो सेवक को गुरु के आदेश की प्रतीक्षा में हाथ जोड़कर पास में खड़ा होना चाहिए। इस प्रकार मनुष्य को सदैव गुरु की पूजा करनी चाहिए। ।। ११-१७-२९ ।।

Until the student has completed his Vedic education he should remain engaged in the āśrama of the spiritual master, should remain completely free of material sense gratification and should not break his vow of celibacy [brahmacarya]. ।। 11-17-30 ।।

जब तक छात्र अपनी वैदिक शिक्षा पूरी नहीं कर लेता, तब तक उसे आध्यात्मिक गुरु के आश्रम में लगे रहना चाहिए, भौतिक इंद्रिय संतुष्टि से पूरी तरह मुक्त रहना चाहिए और ब्रह्मचर्य (ब्रह्मचर्य) के अपने व्रत को नहीं तोड़ना चाहिए। ।। ११-१७-३० ।।
