एवंवृत्तो गुरुकुले वसेद्भोगविवर्जितः । विद्या समाप्यते यावद्बिभ्रद्व्रतमखण्डितम् ॥ ११-१७-३० ॥
Until the student has completed his Vedic education he should remain engaged in the āśrama of the spiritual master, should remain completely free of material sense gratification and should not break his vow of celibacy [brahmacarya]. ॥ 11-17-30 ॥

जब तक छात्र अपनी वैदिक शिक्षा पूरी नहीं कर लेता, तब तक उसे आध्यात्मिक गुरु के आश्रम में लगे रहना चाहिए, भौतिक इंद्रिय संतुष्टि से पूरी तरह मुक्त रहना चाहिए और ब्रह्मचर्य (ब्रह्मचर्य) के अपने व्रत को नहीं तोड़ना चाहिए। ॥ ११-१७-३० ॥
