हृत्पुण्डरीकमन्तःस्थमूर्ध्वनालमधोमुखम् । ध्यात्वोर्ध्वमुखमुन्निद्रमष्टपत्रं सकर्णिकम् ।। ११-१४-३६ ।।

sanskrit

Keeping the eyes half closed and fixed on the tip of one’s nose, being enlivened and alert, one should meditate on the lotus flower situated within the heart. ।। 11-14-36 ।।

english translation

आंखों को आधा बंद करके नाक की नोक पर स्थिर करके, उत्साहित और सतर्क होकर, हृदय में स्थित कमल के फूल पर ध्यान करना चाहिए। ।। ११-१४-३६ ।।

कर्णिकायां न्यसेत्सूर्यसोमाग्नीनुत्तरोत्तरम् । वह्निमध्ये स्मरेद्रूपं ममैतद्ध्यानमङ्गलम् ।। ११-१४-३७ ।।

sanskrit

This lotus has eight petals and is situated on an erect lotus stalk. One should meditate on the sun, moon and fire, placing them one after the other within the whorl of that lotus flower. Placing My transcendental form within the fire, one should meditate upon it as the auspicious goal of all meditation. ।। 11-14-37 ।।

english translation

इस कमल में आठ पंखुड़ियाँ हैं और यह एक सीधे कमल के डंठल पर स्थित है। उस कमल के फूल के घेरे में सूर्य, चंद्रमा और अग्नि को एक के बाद एक रखकर उनका ध्यान करना चाहिए। मेरे दिव्य रूप को अग्नि के भीतर रखकर, उसे सभी ध्यान के शुभ लक्ष्य के रूप में ध्यान करना चाहिए। ।। ११-१४-३७ ।।

समं प्रशान्तं सुमुखं दीर्घचारुचतुर्भुजम् । सुचारुसुन्दरग्रीवं सुकपोलं शुचिस्मितम् ।। ११-१४-३८ ।।

sanskrit

That form is perfectly proportioned, gentle and cheerful. It possesses four beautiful long arms, a charming, beautiful neck, a handsome forehead, a pure smile and glowing, shark-shaped earrings suspended from two identical ears. ।। 11-14-38 ।।

english translation

वह रूप पूर्णतः समनुपातिक, सौम्य और प्रसन्नचित्त है। इसके पास चार खूबसूरत लंबी भुजाएं, एक आकर्षक, सुंदर गर्दन, एक सुंदर माथा, एक शुद्ध मुस्कान और दो समान कानों से लटके हुए चमकदार, शार्क के आकार के झुमके हैं। ।। ११-१४-३८ ।।

समानकर्णविन्यस्तस्फुरन्मकरकुण्डलम् । हेमाम्बरं घनश्यामं श्रीवत्सश्रीनिकेतनम् ।। ११-१४-३९ ।।

sanskrit

That spiritual form is the color of a dark rain cloud and is garbed in golden-yellowish silk. The chest of that form is the abode of Śrīvatsa and the goddess of fortune, ।। 11-14-39 ।।

english translation

वह आध्यात्मिक रूप गहरे बरसाती बादल के रंग का है और सुनहरे-पीले रंग के रेशम से ढका हुआ है। उस रूप की छाती श्रीवत्स और भाग्य की देवी का निवास है, ।। ११-१४-३९ ।।

शङ्खचक्रगदापद्मवनमालाविभूषितम् । नूपुरैर्विलसत्पादं कौस्तुभप्रभया युतम् ।। ११-१४-४० ।।

And that form is also decorated with a conchshell, disc, club, lotus flower and garland of forest flowers. The two brilliant lotus feet are decorated with ankle bells and bracelets, and that form exhibits the Kaustubha gem along with an effulgent crown. ।। 11-14-40 ।।

english translation

और वह रूप शंख, चक्र, गदा, कमल के फूल और वन पुष्पों की माला से भी सुशोभित है। दो शानदार कमल के पैर पायल और कंगन से सुशोभित हैं, और वह रूप एक दीप्तिमान मुकुट के साथ कौस्तुभ मणि को प्रदर्शित करता है। ।। ११-१४-४० ।।
