वैश्यपतिरुवाच ॥ शिवलिंगे तु निर्भिन्ने दग्धे महत्प्राणवल्लभे ॥ सत्यं वच्मि न सन्देहो नाहं जीवितुमुत्सहे ॥ ३८ ॥

“O my beloved, when the phallic image is smashed and burnt I do not desire to live. I am telling you the truth. There is no doubt in this.

vaizyapatiruvAca ॥ zivaliMge tu nirbhinne dagdhe mahatprANavallabhe ॥ satyaM vacmi na sandeho nAhaM jIvitumutsahe ॥ 38 ॥
