तच्छुत्वा शम्भुवचनं विज्ञानप्रदमादरात्॥ व्रीड्यन्स्वमनसा विष्णुः प्राह वाचं महेश्वरम्॥ २१॥
On hearing those words of Śiva that imparted knowledge Viṣṇu was ashamed of himself and then he spoke to lord Śiva respectfully.
english translation
विष्णुरुवाच। ममात्र विद्यते चक्रं तद्गृहीत्वे तदादरात्॥ गमिष्यामि स्वलोकन्तन्त्वदाज्ञापरिपालकः ॥ २२॥
Viṣṇu said:— My discus is here. I shall take the discus and return to my region abiding by your order with reverence.
english translation
नन्दीश्वर उवाच ॥ तदाकर्ण्य महेशानो वचनं वैष्णवं हरः ॥ प्रत्युवाच वृषात्मा हि वृषरक्षः पुनर्हरिम् ॥ २३॥
Nandīśvara said:- On hearing the words of Viṣṇu, lord Śiva the protector of virtue in the guise of a bull, replied to Viṣṇu again.
english translation
न विलम्बः प्रकर्त्तव्यो गन्तव्यमित आशु ते॥ मच्छासनाद्धरे लोके चक्रमत्रैव तिष्ठताम्॥ २४॥
You shall go away quickly from this place. You shall not delay, O Viṣṇu, this is my behest. Let your discus stay in this world itself.
english translation
सन्तानादित्यसंस्थानाच्छिवत्ववचनादपि॥ अहं घोरतरं तस्माच्चक्रमन्यद्ददामि ते ॥ २५ ॥
I shall give you a discus more terrible than the sun at the time of dissolution and more efficacious than the words of Śiva.
