Saying so, the angry and agitated Rama discharged fourteen arrows, venomous like a snake, on the chest of Trisira. ॥ 3-27-13॥

    रक्षसां तु शतं रामः शतेनैकेन कर्णिना । सहस्रं च सहस्रेण जघान रणमूर्धनि ॥ ३-२६-३१rakSasAM tu zataM rAmaH zatenaikena karNinA । sahasraM ca sahasreNa jaghAna raNamUrdhani ॥ 3-26-31Rama killed a hundred demons with one hundred arrows by a single stroke. The same way he killed a thousand of them with a thousand arrows on the battle front. ॥ 3-26-31॥
