Concluding thus those great-sages undertook concerned works of that Vedic-ritual - ॥ 1-60-8॥

    अब्रवीत् सुमहातेजा ब्रह्मा सुरुचिरं वचः । ऋषिस्त्वमसि भद्रं ते स्वार्जितैः कर्मभिः शुभैः ॥ १-६३-२abravIt sumahAtejA brahmA suruciraM vacaH । RSistvamasi bhadraM te svArjitaiH karmabhiH zubhaiH ॥ 1-63-2The very highly resplendent Brahma spoke to him with highly palatable words, 'you have now become a rishi by virtue of auspicious deeds you have personally undertaken, let safeness betide you.' ॥ 1-63-2॥

    तस्मात् प्रवर्त्यतां यज्ञः सशरीरो यथा दिवम् । गच्छेदिक्ष्वाकुदायादो विश्वामित्रस्य तेजसा ॥ १-६०-७tasmAt pravartyatAM yajJaH sazarIro yathA divam । gacchedikSvAkudAyAdo vizvAmitrasya tejasA ॥ 1-60-7- Hence let the sacrifice be performed in such a manner that the descendant of the Ikshvakus would attain heaven with his physical body through the spiritual power of Vishvaamitra. - ॥ 1-60-7॥

    पूर्णे वर्षसहस्रे तु व्रतस्नातं महामुनिम् । अभ्यागच्छन् सुराः सर्वे तपःफलचिकीर्षवः ॥ १-६३-१pUrNe varSasahasre tu vratasnAtaM mahAmunim । abhyAgacchan surAH sarve tapaHphalacikIrSavaH ॥ 1-63-1When thousand years completed in ascesis, that great saint ( Vishvamitra ) took a bath of solemnity and all the gods came forward wishing to accord the fruit of that ascesis ( to Vishvamitra ). ( Thus Sage Shataananda continued the legend of Vishvamitra. ) ॥ 1-63-1॥

    यदाह वचनं सम्यगेतत् कार्यं न संशयः । अग्निकल्पो हि भगवान् शापं दास्यति रोषितः ॥ १-६०-६yadAha vacanaM samyagetat kAryaM na saMzayaH । agnikalpo hi bhagavAn zApaM dAsyati roSitaH ॥ 1-60-6- Whatever he says must be properly carried out. There should be no resitation on this score. The venerable sage is like fire. He will curse us if angered. - ॥ 1-60-6॥

Best among men ( Rama ), the righteous and mighty ascetic Vishvaamitra also continued his austerities at Pushkara for a thousand years. ॥ 1-62-28॥
