Rama, the best one among men, he ( king Ambariisha ) also obtained the fruits of that Vedic-ritual in manyfold, resulted from the grace of Thousand-eyed Indra. ॥ 1-62-27॥

    ततः प्रीतः सहस्राक्षो रहस्यस्तुतितोषितः । दीर्घमायुस्तदा प्रादाच्छुनःशेपाय राघव ॥ १-६२-२६tataH prItaH sahasrAkSo rahasyastutitoSitaH । dIrghamAyustadA prAdAcchunaHzepAya rAghava ॥ 1-62-26Then the Thousand-eyed Indra who was satisfied with esoteric laudation, gladdened and oh ! Raghava, then he bestowed longevity to Shunashepa. ॥ 1-62-26॥

    स्वेनानेन शरीरेण देवलोकजिगीषया । यथायं स्वशरीरेण देवलोकं गमिष्यति ॥ १-६०-३svenAnena zarIreNa devalokajigISayA । yathAyaM svazarIreNa devalokaM gamiSyati ॥ 1-60-3- as he wishes to win over the heaven of gods with his own mortal body. In a manner by which, he ( King Trishanku) attains heaven with his physical body - ॥ 1-60-3॥

    सदस्यानुमते राजा पवित्रकृतलक्षणम् । पशुं रक्ताम्बरं कृत्वा यूपे तं समबन्धयत् ॥ १-६२-२४sadasyAnumate rAjA pavitrakRtalakSaNam । pazuM raktAmbaraM kRtvA yUpe taM samabandhayat ॥ 1-62-24With the consent of the officiating priests the king invested him ( Shunashepa ) with the sacred symbols with Kusa grass, dressed him in red apparel and tied him to the sacrificial post as a sacrificial animal. ॥ 1-62-24॥

    तपोबलहतान् ज्ञात्वा वासिष्ठान् समहोदयान् । ऋषिमध्ये महातेजा विश्वामित्रोऽभ्यभाषत ॥ १-६०-१tapobalahatAn jJAtvA vAsiSThAn samahodayAn । RSimadhye mahAtejA vizvAmitro'bhyabhASata ॥ 1-60-1( Sage Shataananda continued his narration of Trishanku's legend ) The most brilliant Vishvaamitra, having destroyed the sons of Vashishtha including Mahodaya by his ascetic power, said this in the midst of saints ॥ 1-60-1॥
