With an objective to control 'pavana', one should thoroughly cleanse the whole tract from stomach to the throat. This is called guru-gajakarani, by the experts of hatha.

With murmuring sounds of different waterfalls, it appeared as though the mountain was singing. (The sage differentiates the steadily trickling watersound from the rhythmic musical sounds of waterfalls.) ॥ 5-56-12॥
