- siva.sh/manusmriti/6/92धृतिः क्षमा दमोऽस्तेयं शौचमिन्द्रियनिग्रहः । धीर्विद्या सत्यमक्रोधो दशकं धर्मलक्षणम् ॥ ९२ ॥dhRtiH kSamA damo'steyaM zaucamindriyanigrahaH । dhIrvidyA satyamakrodho dazakaM dharmalakSaNam ॥ 92 ॥Contentment, forgiveness, self-control, abstention from unrighteously appropriating anything, (obedience to the rules of) purification, coercion of the organs, wisdom, knowledge (of the supreme Soul), truthfulness, and abstention from anger, (form) the tenfold law.

Matinara was blessed with four sons of immense valor: Tansu, Mahan, Atiratha, and Druhyu, each renowned for their extraordinary glory.' ॥ 1-89-11 ॥

- siva.sh/manusmriti/6/20चान्द्रायणविधानैर्वा शुक्लकृष्णे च वर्तयेत् । पक्षान्तयोर्वाऽप्यश्नीयाद् यवागूं क्वथितां सकृत् ॥ २० ॥cAndrAyaNavidhAnairvA zuklakRSNe ca vartayet । pakSAntayorvA'pyaznIyAd yavAgUM kvathitAM sakRt ॥ 20 ॥Or he may live according to the rule of the lunar penance (Kandrayana, daily diminishing the quantity of his food) in the bright (half of the month) and (increasing it) in the dark (half); or he may eat on the last days of each fortnight, once (a day only), boiled barley-gruel.
- siva.sh/manusmriti/6/18सद्यः प्रक्षालको वा स्यान् माससञ्चयिकोऽपि वा । षण्मासनिचयो वा स्यात् समानिचय एव वा ॥ १८ ॥sadyaH prakSAlako vA syAn mAsasaJcayiko'pi vA । SaNmAsanicayo vA syAt samAnicaya eva vA ॥ 18 ॥He may either at once (after his daily meal) cleanse (his vessel for collecting food), or lay up a store sufficient for a month, or gather what suffices for six months or for a year.
