    यत्र यज्ञपतिः साक्षाद्भगवान् हरिरीश्वरः । अन्वभूयत सर्वात्मा सर्वलोकगुरुः प्रभुः ॥ ४-१९-३ ॥yatra yajJapatiH sAkSAdbhagavAn harirIzvaraH । anvabhUyata sarvAtmA sarvalokaguruH prabhuH ॥ 4-19-3 ॥The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣṇu, is present in everyone’s heart as the Supersoul, and He is the proprietor of all planets and the enjoyer of the results of all sacrifices. He was personally present at the sacrifices made by King Pṛthu. ॥ 4-19-3 ॥

    तदभिप्रेत्य भगवान् कर्मातिशयमात्मनः । शतक्रतुर्न ममृषे पृथोर्यज्ञमहोत्सवम् ॥ ४-१९-२ ॥tadabhipretya bhagavAn karmAtizayamAtmanaH । zatakraturna mamRSe pRthoryajJamahotsavam ॥ 4-19-2 ॥When the most powerful Indra, the King of heaven, saw this, he considered the fact that King Pṛthu was going to exceed him in fruitive activities. Thus Indra could not tolerate the great sacrificial ceremonies performed by King Pṛthu. ॥ 4-19-2 ॥

    मैत्रेय उवाच अथादीक्षत राजा तु हयमेधशतेन सः । ब्रह्मावर्ते मनोः क्षेत्रे यत्र प्राची सरस्वती ॥ ४-१९-१ ॥maitreya uvAca athAdIkSata rAjA tu hayamedhazatena saH । brahmAvarte manoH kSetre yatra prAcI sarasvatI ॥ 4-19-1 ॥The great sage Maitreya continued: My dear Vidura, King Pṛthu initiated the performance of one hundred horse sacrifices at the spot where the river Sarasvatī flows towards the east. This piece of land is known as Brahmāvarta, and it was controlled by Svāyambhuva Manu. ॥ 4-19-1 ॥

The demon ( Maricha ) transfigured into a beautiful, magnificent form . - ॥ 3-42-20॥

Transformed into a most beautiful deer in a moment, the demon ( Maricha ) . - ॥ 3-42-19॥

His tail stood up looking magnificent like a colourful rainbow. ॥ 3-42-18॥

His flanks were like the golden madhuka flowers. comparable to the filaments of lotus. ॥ 3-42-17॥

    रक्तपद्मोत्पलमुख इन्द्रनीलोत्पलश्रवाः । किंचिदभ्युन्नतग्रीव इंद्रनीलदलाधरः ॥ ३-४२-१६raktapadmotpalamukha indranIlotpalazravAH । kiMcidabhyunnatagrIva iMdranIladalAdharaH ॥ 3-42-16The deer's face was like a pink lotus, his ears were like blue lotus. His neck slightly raised, his lips were like petals of blue lotus. ॥ 3-42-16॥

    स तु तद्रूपमास्थाय महदद्भुतदर्शनम् । मणिप्रवरशृङ्गाग्रस्सितासितमुखाकृतिः ॥ ३-४२-१५sa tu tadrUpamAsthAya mahadadbhutadarzanam । maNipravarazRGgAgrassitAsitamukhAkRtiH ॥ 3-42-15Maricha assumed the form of a wonderful and magnificent deer with his antlers studded with the most precious gems, his face dappled with luminous spots of white and black. ॥ 3-42-15॥
