वि॒दा दि॒वो वि॒ष्यन्नद्रि॑मु॒क्थैरा॑य॒त्या उ॒षसो॑ अ॒र्चिनो॑ गुः । अपा॑वृत व्र॒जिनी॒रुत्स्व॑र्गा॒द्वि दुरो॒ मानु॑षीर्दे॒व आ॑वः ॥ विदा दिवो विष्यन्नद्रिमुक्थैरायत्या उषसो अर्चिनो गुः । अपावृत व्रजिनीरुत्स्वर्गाद्वि दुरो मानुषीर्देव आवः ॥

(Indra) recovered (the hidden cattle), hurling his thunderbolt from heaven at the prayers of the Aṅgirasas; the rays of the approaching dawn are spread around; the divine sun, scattering the clustered gloom, has risen and set open the doors of (the habitations of) men.

english translation

वि सूर्यो॑ अ॒मतिं॒ न श्रियं॑ सा॒दोर्वाद्गवां॑ मा॒ता जा॑न॒ती गा॑त् । धन्व॑र्णसो न॒द्य१॒॑: खादो॑अर्णा॒: स्थूणे॑व॒ सुमि॑ता दृंहत॒ द्यौः ॥ वि सूर्यो अमतिं न श्रियं सादोर्वाद्गवां माता जानती गात् । धन्वर्णसो नद्यः खादोअर्णाः स्थूणेव सुमिता दृंहत द्यौः ॥

The sun distributes his radiance as it was a substance; the parent of the rays of light, (the dawn), knowing his approach, comes from the spacious (firmament); the rivers with running waters flow, breaking down their banks; the heaven is stable like a well-constructed pillar.

english translation

अ॒स्मा उ॒क्थाय॒ पर्व॑तस्य॒ गर्भो॑ म॒हीनां॑ ज॒नुषे॑ पू॒र्व्याय॑ । वि पर्व॑तो॒ जिही॑त॒ साध॑त॒ द्यौरा॒विवा॑सन्तो दसयन्त॒ भूम॑ ॥ अस्मा उक्थाय पर्वतस्य गर्भो महीनां जनुषे पूर्व्याय । वि पर्वतो जिहीत साधत द्यौराविवासन्तो दसयन्त भूम ॥

To me, when offering praise, as to an ancient author of sacred songs, the burden of the cloud (descends); the cloud parts (with its burden); the sky performs (its office); he assiduously worshipping Aṅgirasas are exhausted by much (adoration).

सू॒क्तेभि॑र्वो॒ वचो॑भिर्दे॒वजु॑ष्टै॒रिन्द्रा॒ न्व१॒॑ग्नी अव॑से हु॒वध्यै॑ । उ॒क्थेभि॒र्हि ष्मा॑ क॒वय॑: सुय॒ज्ञा आ॒विवा॑सन्तो म॒रुतो॒ यज॑न्ति ॥ सूक्तेभिर्वो वचोभिर्देवजुष्टैरिन्द्रा न्वग्नी अवसे हुवध्यै । उक्थेभिर्हि ष्मा कवयः सुयज्ञा आविवासन्तो मरुतो यजन्ति ॥

I Indra and Agni, I invoke you for my salvation with well-uttered words, agreeable to the gods; for verily, sages excelling in sacrifice, and diligently adoring, worship you with sacred songs, prompt as the Maruts (in devotion).

एतो॒ न्व१॒॑द्य सु॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ भवा॑म॒ प्र दु॒च्छुना॑ मिनवामा॒ वरी॑यः । आ॒रे द्वेषां॑सि सनु॒तर्द॑धा॒माया॑म॒ प्राञ्चो॒ यज॑मान॒मच्छ॑ ॥ एतो न्वद्य सुध्यो भवाम प्र दुच्छुना मिनवामा वरीयः । आरे द्वेषांसि सनुतर्दधामायाम प्राञ्चो यजमानमच्छ ॥

Come today quickly; let us be engaged in pious acts; let us entirely annihilate the hostile; let us keep off all sacred enemies; let us hasten to the presence of the instrumental tutor of the rite.
