प्राग्नये॑ बृह॒ते य॒ज्ञिया॑य ऋ॒तस्य॒ वृष्णे॒ असु॑राय॒ मन्म॑ । घृ॒तं न य॒ज्ञ आ॒स्ये॒३॒॑ सुपू॑तं॒ गिरं॑ भरे वृष॒भाय॑ प्रती॒चीम् ॥ प्राग्नये बृहते यज्ञियाय ऋतस्य वृष्णे असुराय मन्म । घृतं न यज्ञ आस्ये सुपूतं गिरं भरे वृषभाय प्रतीचीम् ॥
I offer to the great, the adorable Agni, the rain of water, the vigorous, the showerer (of benefits), the present acceptable praise, like well-purified butter (poured) at sacrifices into his mouth.
english translation
ऋ॒तं चि॑कित्व ऋ॒तमिच्चि॑किद्ध्यृ॒तस्य॒ धारा॒ अनु॑ तृन्धि पू॒र्वीः । नाहं या॒तुं सह॑सा॒ न द्व॒येन॑ ऋ॒तं स॑पाम्यरु॒षस्य॒ वृष्ण॑: ॥ ऋतं चिकित्व ऋतमिच्चिकिद्ध्यृतस्य धारा अनु तृन्धि पूर्वीः । नाहं यातुं सहसा न द्वयेन ऋतं सपाम्यरुषस्य वृष्णः ॥
Agni, who know (the purpose of) the sacrifice, assent to this rite; be favourable to the copious showers of water; (endowed) with strength, (I undertake) not (to obstruct) sacred acts, nor adjure the rite with both (truth and untruth), but (repeate the praise) of the resplendent showerer (of benefits).

कया॑ नो अग्न ऋ॒तय॑न्नृ॒तेन॒ भुवो॒ नवे॑दा उ॒चथ॑स्य॒ नव्य॑: । वेदा॑ मे दे॒व ऋ॑तु॒पा ऋ॑तू॒नां नाहं पतिं॑ सनि॒तुर॒स्य रा॒यः ॥ कया नो अग्न ऋतयन्नृतेन भुवो नवेदा उचथस्य नव्यः । वेदा मे देव ऋतुपा ऋतूनां नाहं पतिं सनितुरस्य रायः ॥
Agni, bestower of water, by what (act of) truth may you, who are adorable, be cognizant of our adoration; may the divine Agni, the guardian of the seasons, recognize me; (I know) him not (yet) as the lord of the riches of which I am the possessor.
english translation
के ते॑ अग्ने रि॒पवे॒ बन्ध॑नास॒: के पा॒यव॑: सनिषन्त द्यु॒मन्त॑: । के धा॒सिम॑ग्ने॒ अनृ॑तस्य पान्ति॒ क आस॑तो॒ वच॑सः सन्ति गो॒पाः ॥ के ते अग्ने रिपवे बन्धनासः के पायवः सनिषन्त द्युमन्तः । के धासिमग्ने अनृतस्य पान्ति क आसतो वचसः सन्ति गोपाः ॥
Who, Agni, among your (followers) are the imprisoners of foes? who among them are the protectors (of men) the splendid distributors of gifts? who among them defend the asserters of untruth? who are the encouragers of evil deeds?
english translation
सखा॑यस्ते॒ विषु॑णा अग्न ए॒ते शि॒वास॒: सन्तो॒ अशि॑वा अभूवन् । अधू॑र्षत स्व॒यमे॒ते वचो॑भिॠजूय॒ते वृ॑जि॒नानि॑ ब्रु॒वन्त॑: ॥ सखायस्ते विषुणा अग्न एते शिवासः सन्तो अशिवा अभूवन् । अधूर्षत स्वयमेते वचोभिॠजूयते वृजिनानि ब्रुवन्तः ॥
These your friends, Agni, everywhere dispersed, were formerly unhappy (in abandoning your worship), but are again fortunate (by its renewal); may they who, with (censorious) words, impute fraudulent (practices) to me who pursue a straight path, bring eveil upon themselves.
