जन॑स्य गो॒पा अ॑जनिष्ट॒ जागृ॑विर॒ग्निः सु॒दक्ष॑: सुवि॒ताय॒ नव्य॑से । घृ॒तप्र॑तीको बृह॒ता दि॑वि॒स्पृशा॑ द्यु॒मद्वि भा॑ति भर॒तेभ्य॒: शुचि॑: ॥ जनस्य गोपा अजनिष्ट जागृविरग्निः सुदक्षः सुविताय नव्यसे । घृतप्रतीको बृहता दिविस्पृशा द्युमद्वि भाति भरतेभ्यः शुचिः ॥
The vigilant, the powerful Agni, the protector of man, has been engendered for the present prosperity (of the world); fed with butter, (blazing) with intense (radiance) reaching to the sky, the pure Agni shines brilliantly for the Bharatas.
english translation
य॒ज्ञस्य॑ के॒तुं प्र॑थ॒मं पु॒रोहि॑तम॒ग्निं नर॑स्त्रिषध॒स्थे समी॑धिरे । इन्द्रे॑ण दे॒वैः स॒रथं॒ स ब॒र्हिषि॒ सीद॒न्नि होता॑ य॒जथा॑य सु॒क्रतु॑: ॥ यज्ञस्य केतुं प्रथमं पुरोहितमग्निं नरस्त्रिषधस्थे समीधिरे । इन्द्रेण देवैः सरथं स बर्हिषि सीदन्नि होता यजथाय सुक्रतुः ॥
The priests have first kindled, in three plural ces, Agni, the banner of sacrifice, the family priests, (riding) in the same car with Indra and the gods; he, the performer of pious acts, the invoker (of the gods), has sat down on the sacred grass for the (celebration of the) rite.
english translation
अस॑म्मृष्टो जायसे मा॒त्रोः शुचि॑र्म॒न्द्रः क॒विरुद॑तिष्ठो वि॒वस्व॑तः । घृ॒तेन॑ त्वावर्धयन्नग्न आहुत धू॒मस्ते॑ के॒तुर॑भवद्दि॒वि श्रि॒तः ॥ असम्मृष्टो जायसे मात्रोः शुचिर्मन्द्रः कविरुदतिष्ठो विवस्वतः । घृतेन त्वावर्धयन्नग्न आहुत धूमस्ते केतुरभवद्दिवि श्रितः ॥
You are born unobstructed of two mothers; pure, adorable, wise, you have sprung up from (the devotion of) the householder; they have augmented you with butter; Agni, to whom burnt-offerings are made, the smoke is your banner spread abroad in the sky.

अ॒ग्निर्नो॑ य॒ज्ञमुप॑ वेतु साधु॒याग्निं नरो॒ वि भ॑रन्ते गृ॒हेगृ॑हे । अ॒ग्निर्दू॒तो अ॑भवद्धव्य॒वाह॑नो॒ऽग्निं वृ॑णा॒ना वृ॑णते क॒विक्र॑तुम् ॥ अग्निर्नो यज्ञमुप वेतु साधुयाग्निं नरो वि भरन्ते गृहेगृहे । अग्निर्दूतो अभवद्धव्यवाहनोऽग्निं वृणाना वृणते कविक्रतुम् ॥
May Agni, the fulfiller (of all desires) come to our sacrifice; men cherish Agni in every dwelling; Agni, the bearer of oblations, has become the messenger (of the gods); those adoring Agni adore him as the accomplisher of the sacrifice.
english translation
तुभ्ये॒दम॑ग्ने॒ मधु॑मत्तमं॒ वच॒स्तुभ्यं॑ मनी॒षा इ॒यम॑स्तु॒ शं हृ॒दे । त्वां गिर॒: सिन्धु॑मिवा॒वनी॑र्म॒हीरा पृ॑णन्ति॒ शव॑सा व॒र्धय॑न्ति च ॥ तुभ्येदमग्ने मधुमत्तमं वचस्तुभ्यं मनीषा इयमस्तु शं हृदे । त्वां गिरः सिन्धुमिवावनीर्महीरा पृणन्ति शवसा वर्धयन्ति च ॥
To you, Agni, this most sweet speech (is addressed) may this praise be gratification of your heart; pious hymns fill you, and augment you with vigour, as large rivers (replenish) the sea.
