प्रैते व॑दन्तु॒ प्र व॒यं व॑दाम॒ ग्राव॑भ्यो॒ वाचं॑ वदता॒ वद॑द्भ्यः । यद॑द्रयः पर्वताः सा॒कमा॒शव॒: श्लोकं॒ घोषं॒ भर॒थेन्द्रा॑य सो॒मिन॑: ॥ प्रैते वदन्तु प्र वयं वदाम ग्रावभ्यो वाचं वदता वदद्भ्यः । यदद्रयः पर्वताः साकमाशवः श्लोकं घोषं भरथेन्द्राय सोमिनः ॥
Let these (stones) speak; let us reply to the speaking stones, and do you (priests) utter (praise); when,you solid, quick-moving stones, you utter the noise of praise together to Indra, (then you become) full of the Soma.
english translation
ए॒ते व॑दन्ति श॒तव॑त्स॒हस्र॑वद॒भि क्र॑न्दन्ति॒ हरि॑तेभिरा॒सभि॑: । वि॒ष्ट्वी ग्रावा॑णः सु॒कृत॑: सुकृ॒त्यया॒ होतु॑श्चि॒त्पूर्वे॑ हवि॒रद्य॑माशत ॥ एते वदन्ति शतवत्सहस्रवदभि क्रन्दन्ति हरितेभिरासभिः । विष्ट्वी ग्रावाणः सुकृतः सुकृत्यया होतुश्चित्पूर्वे हविरद्यमाशत ॥
They roar like a hundred, like a thousand (men); they cry aloud with green-tinted faces; obtaining thesacrifice, the pious stones through their piety partake of the sacrificial food, even before (Agni), the invoker (of the gods).

ए॒ते व॑द॒न्त्यवि॑दन्न॒ना मधु॒ न्यू॑ङ्खयन्ते॒ अधि॑ प॒क्व आमि॑षि । वृ॒क्षस्य॒ शाखा॑मरु॒णस्य॒ बप्स॑त॒स्ते सूभ॑र्वा वृष॒भाः प्रेम॑राविषुः ॥ एते वदन्त्यविदन्नना मधु न्यूङ्खयन्ते अधि पक्व आमिषि । वृक्षस्य शाखामरुणस्य बप्सतस्ते सूभर्वा वृषभाः प्रेमराविषुः ॥
They speak, they received into their mouth the sweet (Soma), they roar (like the eaters of flesh) overthe roasted meat; chewing the branch of the purplle tree, the voracious bulls have bellowed.

बृ॒हद्व॑दन्ति मदि॒रेण॑ म॒न्दिनेन्द्रं॒ क्रोश॑न्तोऽविदन्न॒ना मधु॑ । सं॒रभ्या॒ धीरा॒: स्वसृ॑भिरनर्तिषुराघो॒षय॑न्तः पृथि॒वीमु॑प॒ब्दिभि॑: ॥ बृहद्वदन्ति मदिरेण मन्दिनेन्द्रं क्रोशन्तोऽविदन्नना मधु । संरभ्या धीराः स्वसृभिरनर्तिषुराघोषयन्तः पृथिवीमुपब्दिभिः ॥
They cry aloud calling upon Indra with the intoxicating effused (Soma), they took the sweet Soma intotheir mouth, seized by the sister (fingers) the bold stones danced, filling the earth with shouts.

सु॒प॒र्णा वाच॑मक्र॒तोप॒ द्यव्या॑ख॒रे कृष्णा॑ इषि॒रा अ॑नर्तिषुः । न्य१॒॑ङ्नि य॒न्त्युप॑रस्य निष्कृ॒तं पु॒रू रेतो॑ दधिरे सूर्य॒श्वित॑: ॥ सुपर्णा वाचमक्रतोप द्यव्याखरे कृष्णा इषिरा अनर्तिषुः । न्यङ्नि यन्त्युपरस्य निष्कृतं पुरू रेतो दधिरे सूर्यश्वितः ॥
The well-gliding stones made a noise in the firmament; they danced (like) the black deer in the stall;they exude down from the upper stone the expressed (Soma); white as the sun they yield abundant moisture.
