ए॒ते व॑दन्ति श॒तव॑त्स॒हस्र॑वद॒भि क्र॑न्दन्ति॒ हरि॑तेभिरा॒सभि॑: । वि॒ष्ट्वी ग्रावा॑णः सु॒कृत॑: सुकृ॒त्यया॒ होतु॑श्चि॒त्पूर्वे॑ हवि॒रद्य॑माशत ॥ एते वदन्ति शतवत्सहस्रवदभि क्रन्दन्ति हरितेभिरासभिः । विष्ट्वी ग्रावाणः सुकृतः सुकृत्यया होतुश्चित्पूर्वे हविरद्यमाशत ॥

sanskrit

They roar like a hundred, like a thousand (men); they cry aloud with green-tinted faces; obtaining thesacrifice, the pious stones through their piety partake of the sacrificial food, even before (Agni), the invoker (of the gods).

english translation

e॒te va॑danti za॒tava॑tsa॒hasra॑vada॒bhi kra॑ndanti॒ hari॑tebhirA॒sabhi॑: | vi॒STvI grAvA॑NaH su॒kRta॑: sukR॒tyayA॒ hotu॑zci॒tpUrve॑ havi॒radya॑mAzata || ete vadanti zatavatsahasravadabhi krandanti haritebhirAsabhiH | viSTvI grAvANaH sukRtaH sukRtyayA hotuzcitpUrve haviradyamAzata ||
