क्रा॒णा रु॒द्रा म॒रुतो॑ वि॒श्वकृ॑ष्टयो दि॒वः श्ये॒नासो॒ असु॑रस्य नी॒ळय॑: । तेभि॑श्चष्टे॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मेन्द्रो॑ दे॒वेभि॑रर्व॒शेभि॒रर्व॑शः ॥ क्राणा रुद्रा मरुतो विश्वकृष्टयो दिवः श्येनासो असुरस्य नीळयः । तेभिश्चष्टे वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमेन्द्रो देवेभिरर्वशेभिरर्वशः ॥
The Maruts, the sons of Rudra, mixing with men, the hawks of the sky, the inhabitants of the cloud,(are) performing (their functions); with those horse-owing deities, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, and Indra, the lord of horses contemplates (the rite).

इन्द्रे॒ भुजं॑ शशमा॒नास॑ आशत॒ सूरो॒ दृशी॑के॒ वृष॑णश्च॒ पौंस्ये॑ । प्र ये न्व॑स्या॒र्हणा॑ ततक्षि॒रे युजं॒ वज्रं॑ नृ॒षद॑नेषु का॒रव॑: ॥ इन्द्रे भुजं शशमानास आशत सूरो दृशीके वृषणश्च पौंस्ये । प्र ये न्वस्यार्हणा ततक्षिरे युजं वज्रं नृषदनेषु कारवः ॥
Those who praise him find protection in Indra; (those who praise him find) universal vision in the sun;(those who praise him find) manly vigour in the vigorous (Indra); those worshippers who diligently offer adorationto Indra (acquire) the thunderbolt as their ally in the dwellings of men.

सूर॑श्चि॒दा ह॒रितो॑ अस्य रीरम॒दिन्द्रा॒दा कश्चि॑द्भयत॒ज तवी॑यसः । भी॒मस्य॒ वृष्णो॑ ज॒ठरा॑दभि॒श्वसो॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ सहु॑रिः स्त॒न्नबा॑धितः ॥ सूरश्चिदा हरितो अस्य रीरमदिन्द्रादा कश्चिद्भयते तवीयसः । भीमस्य वृष्णो जठरादभिश्वसो दिवेदिवे सहुरिः स्तन्नबाधितः ॥
The sun urging his steeds (in obedience to) his (commands) delights (in his presence); every (god) isin fear of the powerful Indra; from the belly of the formidable sighing showerer (of benefits) the all-enduring irresistible (deity) thunders day by day.

स्तोमं॑ वो अ॒द्य रु॒द्राय॒ शिक्व॑से क्ष॒यद्वी॑राय॒ नम॑सा दिदिष्टन । येभि॑: शि॒वः स्ववाँ॑ एव॒याव॑भिर्दि॒वः सिष॑क्ति॒ स्वय॑शा॒ निका॑मभिः ॥ स्तोमं वो अद्य रुद्राय शिक्वसे क्षयद्वीराय नमसा दिदिष्टन । येभिः शिवः स्ववाँ एवयावभिर्दिवः सिषक्ति स्वयशा निकामभिः ॥
Address praise today with reverence to Rudra the powerful destroyer of the heroes, (who isaccompanied) by the mounted (Maruts), the granters of wishes, together with whom he, propitious, possessingkinsmen, be sprinkles (the worshippers) from heaven.

ते हि प्र॒जाया॒ अभ॑रन्त॒ वि श्रवो॒ बृह॒स्पति॑र्वृष॒भः सोम॑जामयः । य॒ज्ञैरथ॑र्वा प्रथ॒मो वि धा॑रयद्दे॒वा दक्षै॒र्भृग॑व॒: सं चि॑कित्रिरे ॥ ते हि प्रजाया अभरन्त वि श्रवो बृहस्पतिर्वृषभः सोमजामयः । यज्ञैरथर्वा प्रथमो वि धारयद्देवा दक्षैर्भृगवः सं चिकित्रिरे ॥
Inasmuch as Bṛhaspati, the showerer (of benefits) and the kindred of Soma (the Visvedevās),bestow food (for the support) of people, Atharvan was the first to invigorate (the gods) with sacrifices; withstrength the gods and Bhṛgus discovered (the cattle).
