ऋषीणां रक्षणार्थाय वधः संयति रक्षसाम् । एतन्निमित्तं च वनं दण्डका इति विश्रुतम् ॥ ३-९-११

sanskrit

- the sages, to kill the demons in the battle, in order to protect them. It is only on account of this that into the well known Dandaka forest . - ॥ 3-9-11॥

english translation

RSINAM rakSaNArthAya vadhaH saMyati rakSasAm । etannimittaM ca vanaM daNDakA iti vizrutam ॥ 3-9-11
