राक्षसानां च मुख्यस्य पक्षिणां प्रवरस्य च । तस्य व्यायच्छमानस्य रामस्यार्थे स रावणः ॥ ३-५१-४२

- ( Ravana and Jatayu ), the chief of the demons and the foremost of the birds. He ( Jatayu ) who was fighting relentlessly for Rama's sake, Ravana . - ॥ 3-51-42॥

english translation

rAkSasAnAM ca mukhyasya pakSiNAM pravarasya ca । tasya vyAyacchamAnasya rAmasyArthe sa rAvaNaH ॥ 3-51-42
