एवं सर्वास्त्रविदुषॊर अस्त्रयुद्धम अवर्तत अथ जिष्णुर उपावृत्य पृथु धारेण कार्मुकम चकर्त भीष्मस्य तदा जातरूपपरिष्कृतम ॥ ४-५९-२४ ॥
'Thus raged that conflict of celestial weapons between those warriors versed in every weapon. And when that clash of divine arms came to an end, there began a battle with arrows. Then Jishnu, advancing upon his foe, with a razor-edged shaft cut down the gold-adorned bow of Bhīṣma.' ॥ 4-59-24 ॥

evaM sarvAstraviduSòra astrayuddhama avartata atha jiSNura upAvRtya pRthu dhAreNa kArmukama cakarta bhISmasya tadA jAtarUpapariSkRtama ॥ 4-59-24 ॥
