उपप्लवन्त वित्रस्ता रथेभ्यॊ रथिनस तदा सादिनश चाश्वपृष्ठेभ्यॊ भूमौ चापि पदातयः ॥ ४-५७-६ ॥

'Struck with fear, the chariot-warriors leapt from their cars, the horse-soldiers abandoned their mounts, and the foot-soldiers fled in all directions.' ॥ 4-57-6 ॥
