अधीत्य बराह्मणॊ वेदान याजयेत यजेत च कषत्रियॊ धनुर आश्रित्य जयेतैव न याजयेत वैश्यॊ ऽधिगम्य दरव्याणि बरह्मकर्माणि कारयेत ।। ४-४५-५ ।।

sanskrit

'A Brahmana, having studied the Vedas, should perform sacrifices himself and officiate at the sacrifices of others. A Kshatriya, relying on his bow, should also perform sacrifices but must never officiate at the sacrifices of others. A Vaishya, having earned wealth, should ensure that the Vedic rites are performed for himself.' ।। 4-45-5 ।।

english translation

adhItya barAhmaNò vedAna yAjayeta yajeta ca kaSatriyò dhanura Azritya jayetaiva na yAjayeta vaizyò 'dhigamya daravyANi barahmakarmANi kArayeta || 4-45-5 ||
