आत्मानं यः समुद्बध्य कण्ढे बद्ध्वा महाशिलाम समुद्रं परतरेद दॊर्भ्यां तत्र किंनाम पौरुषम ॥ ४-४४-१५ ॥

sanskrit

'Who would, binding his own hands and feet and tying a heavy stone around his neck, attempt to swim across the ocean with bare arms? What courage or wisdom is there in such folly?' ॥ 4-44-15 ॥

english translation

AtmAnaM yaH samudbadhya kaNDhe baddhvA mahAzilAma samudraM paratareda dòrbhyAM tatra kiMnAma pauruSama ॥ 4-44-15 ॥
