ऐश्वर्यं पराप्य दुष्प्रापं परियं पराप्य च राजतः अप्रमत्तॊ भवेद राज्ञः परियेषु च हितेषु च ।। ४-४-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'And, O Bharata, when one obtains the king’s favor and gains wealth — both difficult to acquire — he should ever act in ways that are both pleasing and beneficial to the monarch.' ।। 4-4-26 ।।

english translation

aizvaryaM parApya duSprApaM pariyaM parApya ca rAjataH apramattò bhaveda rAjJaH pariyeSu ca hiteSu ca || 4-4-26 ||
